Accounting Services:

Our Accounting Services programs prepare students for a career as an Accounting Associate, Accounting Clerk or to further their education to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or work as a financial auditor. Students gain foundational knowledge of accounting principles, working with accounting software and properly executing financial transactions.

Advanced Manufacturing:

Advanced Manufacturing students acquire a diverse skill set encompassing precision machining, welding, instrumentation and automation, electrical and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and programmable logic control. Our comprehensive program offerings also include boiler training, Instrumentation and Process Control Technician, Mechatronics, and Manufacturing and Energy Systems. These programs are designed to incorporate cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technology ensuring students are prepared for the demands of modern manufacturing.

Alternative Energy:

Oklahoma Students benefit from The Onward OKC Compact’s commitment to sustainable technologies through training for installing and maintaining renewable energy technology for solar, wind, and thermal. Our training programs provide skills training in industry-recognized maintenance practices in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical systems, computer control, data acquisition, and periodic and predictive maintenance program usage.

Automotive Collision Repair:

Students receive advanced training for non-structural repairs, automotive finishing and providing written estimates. Students have the ability to earn multiple I-CAR certifications during their time in the program. The ASE Education Foundation accredits these programs.

Automotive Service Technology:

Our Automotive Service Technology programs provides a pathway for students to receive their ASE certifications in automotive brakes, heat & air, engine performance, electrical systems and steering & suspension. Training is provided in the following areas: transmissions, brakes, engine performance, electrical systems and components, heat and air, steering, suspensions and servicing electric vehicles.

Aviation:

OnWard OKC’s Aviation has programs that focus on the following areas: Aircraft Maintenance, Aircraft Structures and Aircraft Composites.

Aircraft Maintenance:

These programs prepare students to obtain their Aircraft & Propulsion (A&P) license, which certifies them as an aircraft mechanic.

Aircraft Composites:

This program provides students with opportunities to create composite structures, repair composite damage and the proper use and handling of aircraft composite materials.

Business Office:

Our Business Office programs allow students to experience the world of business and customer service in interactive learning environment. Students go beyond classroom learning and apply their skills to projects, competitions, internships, and other real-world opportunities that build experience. Areas of concentration include Medical and Legal Office, Microsoft Office Suite, Business and Financial Services and other pathways.

Carpentry:

Skilled carpenters are needed to meet the ongoing demand for new housing, office, and retail space. Students are taught to estimate and order building materials, prepare, assemble, install materials using hand and power tools and operate heavy equipment. Students can earn their OSHA 10 and General Induction Card for on-site work.

Construction Trades & Masonry:

Our construction programs provide students the skills necessary to work in all areas of a residential build. These programs provide experience in: core construction, framing, cabinet making, advanced framing, interior finishing, cabinetry design and installation, foundation work, masonry materials and installation, roofing and heavy equipment safety and operation.

Cyber Security:

Students learn multiple methods, techniques and strategies to protect company networks and the valuable information inside these networks. Students gain knowledge in assessing security risks, developing risk mitigation strategies and how to ensure appropriate security is in place to safeguard the electronic infrastructure. Students gain knowledge about how criminals access company networks and ways to prevent criminal access. Students attending our Cyber Security programs have the opportunity to obtain the following industry recognized credentials: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA and CCNP.

Diesel Technology:

Diesel technology provides students an opportunity to work on diesel engines for the following industries: construction, oil exploration and extraction, marine, natural gas, and transportation. Our flexible programs allow students to begin training at a time that works best for them. Curriculum includes theory and knowledge of diesel equipment as well as hands-on skills training working on the latest equipment used in diesel industries.

Digital Cinema:

Our programs provide a workforce prepared to support the local film industry, providing hands-on training under the guidance of industry professionals. Students gain practical experience producing and editing television programs and films while collaborating with industry directors and producers. They also delve into website design, interactive media, aerial cinematography, animation, and green-screen studio technology. The curriculum covers all aspects of script-to-screen production, including direction, cinematography, audio, lighting, editing with Avid Media Composer, color grading, graphics, post-production sound, and multi-cam studio work. Students engage in digital video, web development, and film studies, using 4k cinema and HD television equipment. They have the opportunity to work on a professional sound stage with industry-standard equipment and methods.

Additionally, our curriculum includes courses on Film Industry Fundamentals, Hair and Makeup for Film, Location Scouting, Entertainment Payroll, Food Styling, and Introduction to Film Transportation.

Electrical:

Electrical Trades prepare students to work in the electrical field as an apprentice, journeymen and later as a licensed electrical contractor. Students will learn how to design, build and troubleshoot motor control systems and will gain knowledge in construction wiring methods for residential, commercial and industrial facilities. Successful completion of the curriculum prepares students for the state electrical examinations.

Health Careers:

OnWard OKC’s offers multiple health related programs for students to attend. These range from Practical Nursing (LPN), Long Term Certified Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy, Home Health Aide, Patient Care Technician and Advanced Medication Aide. These programs are offered in a wide variety of formats to meet the needs of our students. All courses are designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain state certifications/licenses as well as the soft skills needed to be successful in the health care industry.

Manufacturing:

The Onward OKC Compact programs have adapted to meet the evolving demands of the local manufacturing industry. We focus on skill development in areas such as precision machining, aircraft structures and heavy maintenance, sheet metal construction and repair, information technology, pre-engineering, welding and industrial maintenance. These programs offer a wide range of courses that can equip students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to excel in today’s modern manufacturing jobs.

Plumbing Apprentice:

Plumbing Apprentice Technology focuses on providing the foundational skills needed as an entry-level Plumbing apprentice. This pathway allows students to earn up to 2 years of credit with the Construction Industries Board (CIB) to attain their Plumbing Apprentice license and then work toward obtaining their Oklahoma Plumbing Journeyman’s license.

Precision Machining:

OnWard OKC’s training programs teach workers to create precise, accurate parts while using various machines and tools. Students learn how to properly layout and produce projects through hands-on training, the safe use and operation of drills, presses, lathes and milling machines during basic training. During advanced training, students continue to develop and advance their skills to use a vast variety of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines.

Programming & Software Development:

Our Programming and Software Development programs cultivate a skilled workforce proficient in object-oriented computer programming, with a focus on web-based applications tailored for business needs. Our graduates possess expertise in network and client operating systems, complemented by a solid foundation in web design principles. They gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge rapid application development tools utilized across open source and .Net platforms. Proficient in languages like HTML, PHP, JAVA, C++, and

JavaScript, they can craft dynamic code for interactive websites, video games, and business applications.

Moreover, our curriculum encompasses LAN installation, configuration, and support, empowering students to analyze data requirements and facilitate equipment moves and installations. Technical prowess extends to certifications such as CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+, with a focus on server-based credentials including Microsoft Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), covering areas like Active Directory Configuration and Windows Server Administration. We aim to create a workforce that is adept in Python, SQL, and PL/SQL Database Applications Development, capable of creating and optimizing programs to efficiently store, locate, and retrieve data.

Welding:

Onward’s Welding programs provide the fundamental skills needed for students to become entry-level welders. They will gain experience in the following welding methods: shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc and flux-cored arc.

STEM - Engineering:

Our program produces a skilled workforce proficient in advanced mathematics, chemistry, and physics. Students delve into designing, building, and controlling humanoid robots for both practical applications and engineering competitions. They also tackle projects involving structural, propulsion, and robotic systems, applying advanced mathematical and scientific principles. Additionally, students gain experience in designing and constructing rockets, robots, planes, and architectural models, further enhancing their practical skills in engineering.

STEM - Bio-Med:

Students gain a comprehensive understanding of biosciences and medicine, exploring subjects such as anatomy, cell biology, genetics, and disease research. This curriculum not only provides them with a solid foundation for advanced medical studies but also allows them to perform advanced laboratory experiments and observe surgical procedures and autopsies conducted by medical professionals, giving them valuable real-world experience.

STEM - Computer Science Academy:

The Computer Science Academy prepares students to be proficient in the area of computer programming and coding. Students will learn the foundational skills necessary to code in a wide variety of programs.

STEM - Aircraft Command MD:

Aircraft Command Experience is a STEM based program that focuses on providing foundational knowledge, skills and experience in the aviation and aerospace career fields. Students will have the opportunity to explore both the Pilot and UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) pathways and will work towards obtaining the Federal Aviation Administration’s Private Pilot Knowledge Test and/or the Part 107 Remote Pilot Test.

Topics covered in the Pilot pathway include aviation history, principles of flight and aerodynamic forces, pilot and aircraft qualifications, aircraft systems, pre- and post-flight procedures, flight maneuvers, and cockpit management. UAS-specific topics include UAS regulations, airspace classification and operating requirements, safety protocols, aircraft loading and performance, and operating environments.
